This time last year we were enjoying family time and presents, and I was looking forward to DAV and Doctor Who.
Today was a kind of rinse and repeat because it was family time again. My ad hoc sausage rolls went down well but I left it too late to start them (husband did warn me!), so that impacted the party nibbles, which impacted how much time I had to spend with folk for the first hour. But I think more got eaten than usual. We didn't overload the table as much, which perhaps made it less overwhelming...?
Husband has a plan for tidying up the shelves in the cupboard the toys are kept in. I think we should make that a priority!
I played a bit more of of Blue Prince. I can see how people could get lost in it - literally and metaphorically! But 'success' depends too much on the drawing the right rooms with the right connections. I might poke at it a bit more after GoY.
Tomorrow, I will plan food more carefully.
Now I'm watching Inside Out. Such a good film. All our emotions are important. I particularly love the parents' emotions - although there's definitely some gender stereotyping.
