( List of entries )
In order to vote, please reply to this post using the form provided. All comments are screened, and entries are listed in the order they were submitted. For your vote to qualify, you must fill out your entire voting card (all three spots) in order to be counted. First place votes are worth 3 points, second place votes are worth 2 points, and third place votes are worth 1 point. Meeting the bonus goal on an entry gets an extra point for that submission.
When voting, please copy/paste the ENTRY NUMBER and the FIC TITLE from the list above into the spot you're voting for (this prevents accidentally mis-numbering a vote and casting it for the wrong entry). It should look like this:
First Place: 61. Fic Title Here
Second Place: 88. Another Fic Title
Third Place: 47. Finally a third fic title goes here
Please note that you cannot vote for your own entry, and that votes cannot be made anonymously. You do not have to be a member of the community in order to vote, nor have submitted an entry for this week; everyone is welcome to participate in the voting. IP addresses are logged to prevent duplicate voting.
Voting closes Wednesday, April 23, at 9:00PM EST.

We have
- Little Shop of Horrors - Menken/Ashman: The tag "Chantel (Little Shop of Horrors)" was nominated, but we are having trouble confirming that this character exists. Could the nominator share information on where they appear in the canon?
- Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na! | Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!: The tag "Sheriff Dekastop (Eizouken)" was nominated, but we are having trouble confirming that this character exists. Could the nominator share information on where they appear in the canon?
- Heartbeat (UK TV): The tag "Cup of Tea (Object and Concept Anthropomorphism)" was nominated, but we wanted to double-check if this is indeed a nomination for a cup of tea that appears in Heartbeat—in which case it should be disambiguated with the proper fandom—or if it was an error.
Thank you!

It's because of the DW Points I have added as challenge rewards. Let me explain shortly, how I came up with the idea.
The idea of DW point rewards crossed my mind one day when I thought about making one or more of my communities paid communities to support the DW Team a bit more (because I think they're doing a great job and deserve the support). But to be honest, my communities are small, and a paid account wouldn't make much of a difference for most of their users.
So I came up with the idea of having small DW point rewards for the best participants at Fandom Empire, as a bit of a thank you for all their great works and for regular participation.
The last thing I want is to put participants under pressure or make them feel uncomfortable.
So, I am interested in your thoughts now. The poll is anonymous; everyone can see the results, but no one (not even me) will know who the participants are.

a short t4t johnlock femslash

Entry for 10 out of 20: a Jewish Johnlock t4t femslash featuring Rosie.
“Those candles aren’t going to light themselves,” Jean laughed. She swung little Rosie up onto a high chair and secured the straps before leaning back into her own seat, her eyes fluttering closed.
“I know,” Sherlock frowned. She was squinting at the Shabbat candlesticks as if they were alien, even though she had watched Mummy Holmes with them on so many late summer nights and early winter afternoons. It seemed a part of her protested the idea of using them now that she inherited them. She didn’t understand their game, her parents were still alive.
Perhaps this was their way of being quiet critics, telling her that she really ought to keep the Sabbath. Sherlock almost snorted at the thought. Instead, she settled for shaking her head, her curls flitting madly about.
Or maybe, she thought, this was her Mother’s wordless approval of her transition. It had all happened quickly — Jean, showing up at her house, baby in tow, coming out, and then her own clean realization over an afternoon of movies. Things were easy now in a way they’d never been before. After all she’d endured, it was a mercy.
Sherlock steadied herself. She kissed the top of Rosie’s head, and then Jean’s, at the tot’s insistence that Mum be included too. Then, she lifted the lighter and lit the candles, murmuring the blessing she had known forever. The flame rose and then settled. The flavors of Mrs. Hudson’s roast chicken and the small fire dancing over each candle tasted like hope.
Signups now open!

The tagset will remain open for nominations through the end of signups. Please disambiguate your nominations to make the approvals process faster. IMPORTANT NOTE! If AO3 won't let you signup for a character that you know is definitely in the tagset, please comment here or email us with the exact fandom and character(s) you were trying to request/offer. A mod will then batch load it for you on the backend, and you will be able to request it.
- You must request 3-10 fandoms with 1-20 characters and 1-7 drabble types each. Fandoms in your requests must be unique, but may be related (e.g., three Star Wars requests would be fine, as long as it was three separate Star Wars fandoms).
- If you wish, you may request Any for drabble type. This means you are open to receiving any of the 7 drabble types in the tagset.
- If you wish, you may request Any character. This means any character in the canon (NOT just the tagset). Please do not request Any unless you really are open to receiving any character from that canon.
- If you have character DNWs, requesting Any might not be the best idea, as this could end up with a bad match with someone who had only offered that character. We will be checking for this before we send assignments, but it's possible we could miss something, which would lead to us having to re-assign your writer and send you to pinch hit. (Note that the character DNW would still be upheld in this situation.) If you are requesting Any and do not wish to receive fic about objects, etc., you should DNW that as well.
- Blank signups are allowed, but prompts, likes, and a list of DNWs are strongly encouraged.
- You must offer 3-10 fandoms with 1-20 characters and 1-7 drabble types each. Fandoms in your offers must be unique, but may be related (e.g., three Star Wars offers would be fine, as long as it was three separate Star Wars fandoms).
- If you wish, you may offer Any for drabble type. This means you are open to writing any of the 7 drabble types in the tagset. (Note that unless your recipient has also requested Any, you must write one of the specific drabble types they requested.)
- If you wish, you may offer Any character. This means any character in the tagset (i.e., if your recipient has requested specific characters, you must write one of them). Please do not offer Any unless you really are open to writing any character in the tagset for that fandom (including any last-minute additions to the tagset).
- Only reasonable DNWs in your AO3 signup will be enforced.
- A reasonable DNW is a DNW that is clear and does not attempt to box your writer into writing just one thing.
Other:
- Some tags may not appear in the drop-down menu, but can still be used by copy-pasting from the tagset itself. This is a known AO3 bug.
- If you encounter any issues while signing up, please let us know ASAP, as AO3 bugs can sometimes hit exchanges.
- If you need to let us know something about your signup (such as not wanting to be assigned to a specific other participant), please contact us via email (seasonsofdrabbles AT gmail) or the mod contact post.

Tuesday: After Big Events
Apr. 22nd, 2025 11:11 amToday's theme is after big events - i.e., what happens following life-changing moments and experiences, both personal and societal. (Feel free to interpret that loosely, though.) Prompts should thus explore and focus on this idea.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and the fandom's full name
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above-mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ The X-Files, Dana Scully, her life post-FBI
+ Any, any, buying a bunch of on-sale candy after a holiday
+ Any, any, life as a married couple post-wedding and honeymoon
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2025 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? You can use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.
While the use of LJ's advanced search options is available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching in the future.
If you are viewing this post on our Dreamwidth site, please know that fills posted here will not show up as comments on our LiveJournal site but you are still more than welcome to participate.
If you have a Dreamwidth account and would feel more comfortable participating there, please feel free to do so…and spread the word!
